Snuggs No. 1(of 1?): Quantum Coffee

Attempting to reboot the comic this week! Trying a new layout and using new software to make the strip. I'm also considering changing the title, because the title always sucked. It feels a bit awkward, but.. welcome to my work. Eh whatever, I enjoyed making it. I don't care what you think!

Yelp! I Need Somebody

Snuggs really needs to find work at this point, if he has enough time to do other people's jobs for them.

An Author You Can't Refuse

Rita now joins the roughly 90% of baristas that are aspiring writers. August, by comparison, is among the 100% of coffee shop patrons who are aspiring writers.

Gott Ist Busy, All Right?

So, I've been gone for a while, to put it mildly. My scanner was too old to use after updating my OS, and frankly, I was getting a bit burnt out there towards the end. But rest assured, I've been drawing these jerks and coming up with ideas for them during the course of this hiatus, while also trying to revise my style a bit in ways that will probably go completely unnoticed by anyone but me, so.. I'm welcome.

Anyway, it looks like things have gone a bit stagnant at the Bean Counter in my absence, with only the crazy bathroom guy feeling the existential pall this has cast over their lives. I'm not sure how soon I'll resume regular updates, but I'm gonna have to do it quickly, before Sonny and Snuggs become fully self aware.

Big Head Blues

If my comic ever garners even the slightest critical appraisal, I solemnly swear to immediately become unbearable to everyone around me.

A Tale Told by an Idiot, Signifying Nothing

I hate to break both of your hearts after reading this brilliantly conceived gem here, dear fans, but this will most likely be the last Bean Counter of 2014, as I have family visiting next week and things will be rather hectic over the holidays. I truly hope you'll be able to find mild forms of entertainment to sate you until which time this comic returns. Seeya in 2015!

Post-Fight Interview

Even with significant head trauma, Snuggs is a master of dodging the question when his defeatism is brought up.

Detonating Donuts Part Two: The Holes of Fate

Since this is the first time something exciting ever happened in the strip, I decided to play with the style a little bit. For the sake of consistency, though, I made sure it was still kinda crappy.

I Am Literally the Worst

No comic update this week, as I'm taking a short break after the storyline ended. I'm not getting paid for this, y'know. That justifies laziness.

However, before you throw yourselves on your swords, I'll share some of the stuff I worked on instead this weekend. First, a sort-of poster for the storyline I did for no particular reason: (Note: The pic is showing up much brighter on the site; for reference, the background is supposed to be navy blue. The oranges aren't supposed to be as neon, either.)

(Click to view full-size, as usual)
As it turns out, I've been playing with Illustrator a lot lately, as seen on the new site banner and these practice backgrounds. I'm thinking about using this technique in the strip in the future if it looks good and I'm not too lazy to keep it up on a weekly basis.

(Click to view full-size, yet again)

(Click to bleh blah bleh)
(I'll get better at this, I swear. Well, I'll attempt to, anyway. Maybe I'll fail, who knows?)

OFTLOS, Part Eleven

Note: Will add shadows to this later. Running behind this week. No time for subject nouns.

EDIT: Shadows added. Have time for subject nouns now. Still foregoing them for spite.

When Snuggs does the right thing, he does it wrong. At the wrong time.
